Sunshine Coast Coolum Beach
Pilates in Coolum Beach.
Five studios sit between Coolum's beachside village and South Coolum, making reformer a natural prelude to the boardwalk and Point Perry rather than an errand apart from the coast.
The neighbourhood note
Use the route below to make the class part of the day, rather than the whole of it.
Before and after class
Reformer on David Low Way, then take the long view from Point Perry.
Pilates & Co. Coolum and Pronto Pilates Coolum Beach sit almost side by side on David Low Way, but they are not interchangeable. Pilates & Co. Coolum is the boutique group-studio option; Pronto uses eight reformers and expert-designed on-screen sessions across a long, seven-day schedule. Sonne Pilates and Yoga brings Pilates and yoga together on Beach Road, while Studio Pilates International Coolum Beach on Birtwill Street and Village Pilates Coolum in South Coolum widen the choice beyond that central pair.
Keep the rest of the morning close to the water. From the village, the Coolum Coastal Boardwalk runs for 350 metres above the Point Perry foreshore towards Wilkinson Park, with ocean views doing the work of a post-class reset. It is a particularly coherent pairing with Pilates & Co. Coolum or Pronto Pilates Coolum Beach; leave David Low Way, cross towards the Esplanade and let a short studio booking open into one of the Sunshine Coast's most recognisable headland walks.
The local ritual
3 stops, one considered Coolum Beach morning.
