Sunshine Coast Yandina
Pilates in Yandina.
Yandina's single reformer studio sits inside its preserved village grid, where a council trail links the railway, cenotaph and early town streets.
The neighbourhood note
Use the route below to make the class part of the day, rather than the whole of it.
Before and after class
Technique-led reformer in the village, then follow Yandina's historic circuit.
Good Folk Pilates is Yandina's sole local Pilates studio, working from Farrell Street. Its studio-owned programme combines reformer classes with barre and private sessions, emphasising technique and progression within a community-focused setting. Review the class descriptions and ask where a new or returning client should begin; friendliness is valuable, but it does not replace matching the format and level to the person.
A Journey through Yandina supplies the local chapter beyond the studio. The council's two-kilometre circuit begins at Lions Park and follows the township towards its railway station, cenotaph and surviving heritage streetscape. Following Good Folk Pilates with part or all of that route reveals why this compact place feels different from newer Coast suburbs: movement in the village, then the structures of one of the region's earliest surveyed towns.
The local ritual
2 stops, one considered Yandina morning.
Pair the class with coffee, fresh air or a place that shows Yandina at its best.
