The Anglesey neighbourhood edit Anglesey and the Menai Strait
Pilates in Anglesey and the Menai Strait.
Anglesey's reformer map is dispersed and intimate: two five-person Island Pilates rooms and a private coastal retreat at Surf & Summit connect the Menai Strait to the island's quieter north.
The neighbourhood note
A local dispatch for making the class part of the day, rather than the whole of it.
Before and after class
Make the class part of the place.
Island Pilates runs group reformer in Menai Bridge and Four Mile Bridge, both beginner-friendly and capped at five. Surf & Summit in Pencraigwen is the private alternative, publishing one-to-one sessions at £35 and duet teaching at £50.
Choose the studio by the landscape you want afterwards. Menai Bridge leads naturally to the Belgian Promenade and the strait; Four Mile Bridge points west towards Rhoscolyn; Pencraigwen places the island's north coast and open country within reach.
Anglesey is not a single walkable Pilates district, and the guide does not pretend otherwise. It is a driving edit with unusually good rewards between appointments: independent food, tidal views and some of Wales's best coastal paths.
The local ritual
4 stops, one considered Anglesey and the Menai Strait morning.
A short edit for adding coffee, fresh air or a little local character to the class booking.
