The Brighton and Hove neighbourhood edit Central Brighton and the seafront
Pilates in Central Brighton and the seafront.
Five central studios move from boutique and on-demand reformer to four-person clinical teaching and a members-only room overlooking the sea.
The neighbourhood note
A local dispatch for making the class part of the day, rather than the whole of it.
Before and after class
The visitor-friendly edit, without compromising the teaching.
Reformer Collective brings the larger boutique format to Old Steine, Pilates@BN1 offers reformer and a full apparatus studio beside the Pavilion, and Reformed adds a self-directed on-demand option at Norfolk Square. Reach's Seven Dials clinic keeps groups to four; Brighton Beach House adds a member reformer room with sauna and steam facilities.
Each works within central Brighton, although Seven Dials climbs away from the sea and the House requires membership. Take the class first, cross the Lanes slowly, then choose the beach or North Laine according to the weather rather than rushing into another booking.
The local ritual
3 stops, one considered Central Brighton and the seafront morning.
A short edit for adding coffee, fresh air or a little local character to the class booking.
