The Glasgow neighbourhood edit City Centre and Merchant City
Pilates in City Centre and Merchant City.
Glasgow's central Pilates rooms move from fully equipped classical studios to softly lit reformer floors, with excellent coffee and galleries in the streets between them.
The neighbourhood note
A local dispatch for making the class part of the day, rather than the whole of it.
Before and after class
Six city rooms, each with a different definition of refinement.
SOUL is the full-service choice on South Frederick Street, with reformer, tower, Cadillac and recovery facilities. Pointe Ahead brings STOTT teaching to St Vincent Place, Lunalove offers a more ritual-led group experience on Bothwell Street, Era adds a boutique reformer option on Bath Street, and Infinity keeps reformer private from its Merchant City yoga studio. La La adds a four-bed room inside House of NAF on Elmbank Street, making it the smallest central group class.
This is the part of Glasgow where a class becomes an easy cultural itinerary. Take coffee at Laboratorio Espresso, cross Royal Exchange Square for GoMA, or continue east into the Merchant City; none requires manufacturing a wellness district that is not already there.
The local ritual
3 stops, one considered City Centre and Merchant City morning.
A short edit for adding coffee, fresh air or a little local character to the class booking.
