The city edit Issue 01
The Holywood Pilates Edit
Holywood's reformer scene is unusually complete for a compact coastal town: four verified studios cover energetic group classes, clinically informed movement, private classical apparatus work and a purpose-built room inside a full health club.
The long read
Pilates in Holywood, neighbourhood by neighbourhood.
SE7EN sits directly on High Street with Apprentice and Dynamic classes on Balanced Body Allegro 2 reformers. The brand's current entry offer is two classes for £20, giving first-time clients a clear route into a polished boutique timetable.
Around the corner on Hibernia Street, Active Health Solutions connects reformer to physiotherapy and clinical Pilates. Its six-week beginners course leads into regular and advanced classes, while private assessment and one-to-one work provide a more supported route for clients who need it.
Pilates Power occupies another High Street address but follows a more individual apparatus model. Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda chair, ladder barrel and spine corrector support inductions, private and duet sessions, workshops and circuits; the current timetable lists most one-to-one appointments at £60. Bannatyne completes the choice on Belfast Road with reformer credits from £10 inside a club offering pool, spa and gym facilities.
The town is compact enough to remain on foot after class. Coffee Yard roasts and serves on High Street, Joxer provides a more leisurely neighbourhood table, and the North Down Coastal Path opens from the shore towards Belfast Lough and Bangor.
