Hull Avenues and Anlaby
Pilates in Avenues and Anlaby.
West Hull's reformer route moves from a three-person studio on Spring Bank West to small-group apparatus teaching in Anlaby's Red Lion Court.
The neighbourhood note
Use the route below to make the class part of the day, rather than the whole of it.
Before and after class
Personal teaching, then the avenues and village high street.
Pilates Avenue keeps the room unusually intimate, with no more than three people in a reformer class and clearly published single and five-session prices. Emma Richardson Pilates broadens the offer in Anlaby with reformer, matwork, back-care and seniors sessions, all taught in small groups.
The two studios suit different routines rather than one contrived walking trail. Pair Spring Bank West with Pearson Park and the avenues; make Anlaby its own stop, using Red Lion Court and the village businesses around it before heading home.
The local ritual
2 stops, one considered Avenues and Anlaby morning.
Pair the class with coffee, fresh air or a place that shows Avenues and Anlaby at its best.
