The city edit Issue 01
The Inverness Pilates Edit
Inverness has a genuinely small reformer scene, but the two operating studios are meaningfully different: a premium central group room and a BASI-led home studio offering reformer and full-apparatus teaching.
The long read
Pilates in Inverness, neighbourhood by neighbourhood.
Pos Pilates is the central starting point on Union Street. The second-floor studio uses Merrithew reformers, welcomes beginners and publishes an active online booking route, making it the most straightforward group option for visitors staying around the station and river.
Across in Crown, Pilates with Adele runs a more personal format from a private Hill Street studio. Small-group Foundations and mixed-ability reformer sit alongside one-to-one sessions using the wider apparatus repertoire; the current schedule shows active classes, though some series are full.
Studio 70 at Tornagrain is not counted yet. Its first-party site invites founding members and says offers and memberships are coming soon, so the research ledger keeps it visible without presenting a proposed studio as an operating timetable.
That boundary matters in a small market. Third-party directories also describe Alba Physiotherapy, Inverness Pilates and Karen Powell Pilates as reformer options, but their current first-party pages publish mat or small-prop work only. For now, choose Pos for central group convenience or Adele for intimate apparatus teaching, then confirm the live schedule before booking.
