Central Park Pilates meets at the Cherry Hill Fountain before setting up for a 50-minute classical mat class overlooking the Lake, Bow Bridge and the San Remo. Private and custom groups are also available, but there is no reformer room hidden behind the park studio. Bring a mat or arrange a rental, and use the instructor's offered adaptations if this is a first encounter with the classical sequence.
Cherry Hill is a public landscape before it is a studio backdrop. Weather can cancel the class, paths remain shared with other park users and the meeting point must be reached on foot from the east or west side entrances at 72nd Street. Check both the Central Park Pilates booking notice and the Central Park Conservancy map before leaving; the openness is the attraction, but it removes the certainty of an indoor timetable.
