New York City Flatbush
Pilates in Flatbush.
Flatbush offers community mat Pilates, an intimate independent reformer room and a two-site studio spanning springboard, clinical care and gentler progressions.
The neighbourhood note
Use the route below to make the class part of the day, rather than the whole of it.
Before and after class
Decide whether you want Pilates alone or a neighbourhood movement ecosystem around it.
Cocoon Studio treats mat Pilates as one strand in a deliberately inclusive Newkirk Plaza programme of yoga, strength, gentle movement and family classes; roughly half its teachers are local. Pilates Perk is more narrowly Pilates-led, with an intimate boutique setting and reformer, mat, private and duet options shaped by an owner's personal connection to the method. One supports a broad community schedule, the other a closer studio relationship.
Pilates on Cortelyou & Pilates on Cortelyou Annex has the deepest apparatus map. Reformer groups and private sessions run at the Coney Island Avenue Annex, while the Cortelyou Road studio hosts springboard, prenatal and postnatal work alongside physical therapy and other care. Classes are capped at nine and include gentle, all-level, jumpboard and advanced routes. Check the correct address for your format; the two sites are functional parts of one practice, not duplicate pins.
