New York City Park Slope
Pilates in Park Slope.
Park Slope ranges from Gratz-equipped classical progression to a private home studio and franchise reformer classes, giving seven studios real methodological breadth.
The neighbourhood note
Use the route below to make the class part of the day, rather than the whole of it.
Before and after class
Decide whether you want an apprenticeship to the method, private assessment or easy group access.
BodyTonic Pilates Gymnasium has taught in Park Slope since 1999 and asks newcomers to begin privately before progressing to duets, trios or seven-person tower groups on Gratz equipment. Brooklyn Pilates is more intimate still: a private home studio where one-to-one 60-minute sessions begin with medical, injury and structural assessment, alongside Reiki and red-light services. Both are personal, but only BodyTonic provides a defined route into small apparatus groups.
Club Pilates supplies the contrasting high-frequency franchise system, while Inspira Pilates sits within a physical-therapy practice and deserves direct questions about clinical coordination. Annex Pilates, Pilates by Simona and Violet on 5th deepen the independent field. Start with BodyTonic Pilates Gymnasium for classical progression, Brooklyn Pilates for private continuity, or Club Pilates for a standardised group schedule; then inspect the remaining studios against that chosen brief.
