The city edit Issue 01
The Aberdeen Pilates Edit
Aberdeen's six verified reformer studios are compact enough to understand in one edit but varied enough to offer real choices: clinical teaching across the West End, boutique group classes south of the Dee and a twelve-bed room by the beach.
The long read
Pilates in Aberdeen, neighbourhood by neighbourhood.
Begin around Carden Place and Albyn Terrace, where Studio Be and ReformPhysio & Pilates sit within a short West End walk. Studio Be runs Foundation, Ascent, Peak and Jumpboard classes on Merrithew equipment for £16; ReformPhysio keeps groups to six, with pay-as-you-go at £16.50 and class passes bringing the session price down. Freshly Centered also teaches inside Studio Be, so it is recorded as a tenant programme rather than a second physical studio.
Continue towards Great Western Road for The House Reformer, a dedicated room using Peak Pilates equipment for reformer, barre and sculpt. Further west on Seafield Road, Aberdeen Physiotherapy at The Wallace Practice adds a second clinical route: a multi-day timetable spanning beginner, easy, moderate and sport-specific reformer, with private sessions from £60 and public booking through Acuity.
The outer-city choices are deliberately different. Reform at Luxe in Cove Bay publishes beginner, mixed, gentle, dynamic and jumpboard sessions from £16, while Aberdeen Sports Village runs twelve reformers in 50-minute classes for £12 or as part of Premium membership, alongside its wider aquatic and training facilities at Linksfield.
These are separate routines rather than a single walking trail. Choose the West End for small groups and clinical depth, Cove Bay for a neighbourhood timetable, or the Sports Village for facilities and scale. La Vie de Cami, Revive Pilates and the former Lift & Flow room remain in the research ledger because their current public evidence does not yet support a live standalone listing; Soul Space is also still a coming-soon waitlist.
