The Aberdeen neighbourhood edit City centre and West End
Pilates in City centre and West End.
Aberdeen's West End gathers small-group reformer, physiotherapy-led teaching and a contemporary app-booked studio within the city's granite core.
The neighbourhood note
A local dispatch for making the class part of the day, rather than the whole of it.
Before and after class
Three studios, three routes into the reformer practice.
Studio Be is the clear group-class introduction, publishing Foundation through Peak and Jumpboard for £16. ReformPhysio keeps groups to six and adds clinical one-to-one work; The House Reformer shifts the emphasis towards reformer, barre and sculpt.
The geography is unusually kind. Carden Place, Albyn Terrace and Great Western Road can fit the same West End routine, but the teaching style should decide the booking. Leave room for coffee and the Art Gallery rather than trying to sample every studio at once.
The local ritual
2 stops, one considered City centre and West End morning.
A short edit for adding coffee, fresh air or a little local character to the class booking.
