Saltash Saltash and Forge Lane
Pilates in Saltash and Forge Lane.
One eight-bed reformer studio links Forge Lane's fitness community to Saltash's high street, mat-and-yoga scene and Tamar waterfront.
The neighbourhood note
Use the route below to make the class part of the day, rather than the whole of it.
Before and after class
Build a complete Saltash ritual around one unusually versatile room.
Bottoms Up teaches Level 1, Level 2, all-levels and technique classes on eight reformers inside Motion Gym, then uses a ladder barrel and four Wunda chairs for private work. Singles cost £16 and rolling memberships begin at £55 for four sessions.
Ember next door is mat Pilates, yoga and barre rather than another reformer studio, but the two studios share a £95 unlimited membership. Continue to Fore Street for coffee and independent shops, then descend to the Waterside beneath the Royal Albert and Tamar bridges.
The local ritual
3 stops, one considered Saltash and Forge Lane morning.
Pair the class with coffee, fresh air or a place that shows Saltash and Forge Lane at its best.
